It is hard to imagine how we would carry out such a unique and unforgettable event without their help. These are people who are willing to put in their free time and energy and devote it fully to its success. Thanks to them we can provide our sports fans and contestants with great experience from the Championship.

 

The Organizing Committee has set the target to create a group of approximately 1 500 volunteers named Team Liberec 2009 compound of devoted and loyal members who are ready to help. Members of the Team will play a key role not only during the World Championship itself, but also within other activities associated with the significant event.

 

Team Liberec 2009 currently has around 1480 members from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad – predominantly from Germany and Poland, but also from Norway, Sweden, Canada and other countries. They need to fill out a form and then they are assigned to different sections of the WSC organization according to their knowledge, skills and condition. Among these sections we could name for example accreditation, traffic control, marketing, supporting events, team attendance, security, promotion, environment, accommodation or medical security.

 

Although the cooperation of Team Liberec 2009 and the Organizing Committee is based on voluntary platform, the Organizing Committee retains the right to select from the membership those who will fall in with plans during the WSC. Criteria of the selection depend on the cooperation and participation of the member during practice and trainings as well as on his or her motivation and fellowship with the Team. Based on these criteria approximately 1000 volunteers will be selected afterwards.
