Environmental Protection Policy
Basic Principles of Protecting the Environment
At present, an increased emphasis within the protection of the environment is given to qualitative aspects of life. In this context, a requirement to achieve sustainable development is defined.
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Among the fundamental principles of the environmental protection are the following:
1/ Prevention. It is as such much more effective than any later solutions to issues already ensued as they require a much larger number of financial, human and time resources.
2/ Precaution. Necessary in view of some activities' impact. We still know too few natural relations that rule the environment.
3/ Limited capacity of the environment. We must behave in such a way as not to increase space for waste and pollution of any kind.
